Patricia Marion is a 20 inch rag doll pattern which
is easy for the beginning dollmaker to complete, but would also be enjoyable for the more
experienced dollmaker. The head construction in this pattern is a modification of the
Japanese style of dollmaking. I started using this construction method on all my dolls
about a year ago after reading Storybook Dolls: Stuffed Dolls to Make & Treasure
by Kyoko Yoneyoma. This technique makes a very stable neck area and thus a great
doll for a childs toy. Though it requires some hand stitching to attach the head to
the body, the finished doll is well worth the effort.
Pattern
package includes detailed instructions, full size pattern pieces; also included is a full
color of close-up her face. The pattern is packaged in a recloseable poly bag.
