Our 18 inch doll is made entirely of cloth with several layers of gesso and acrylic medium.  The face and arms are hand-painted and acrylic sealer has been applied for protection. 

This doll design was inspired by the Izannah Walker dolls of the mid to late 19th Century.  The clothing is designed to reflect the styles of that era and are completely removable.  The decoration on the apron was hand-stitched and the collar was hand-crocheted.  This doll was submitted to Early American Life magazine for the 2005 judging.
