Our 16 inch "Raggity Twins" have hand-painted face, arms and legs. Prior to
painting two coats of gesso have been applied to the muslin fabric with sanding
in between each coat. This gives the dolls the feel of oil cloth. All clothing
is completely removable. Their hair is crocheted and hand stitched to their
head. The Raggity girl wears pantaloons trimmed with eyelet lace, a lined dress
and a muslin apron. She also has a matching bow in her hair. The boy wears boxer
shorts and a one-piece outfit to match the girl as well as a sailor hat. These
dolls would be a wonderful addition to an "Americana" décor. Each is signed and
dated.
The "Raggity Twins" are not intended as children's toys. We do, however, sell
our "Raggity Twins" pattern that is designed to make dolls that are more
suitable as toys for children.
