"Sidonia Faith" is a 25 inch folk
art doll. Her body is made of unbleached muslin which has been soft-sculpted to give
detailing to her face and hands. Her head, arms and legs have been coated with many layers
of gesso and acrylic medium that has been sanded between each layer in order to achieve a
smooth finish. She is hand-painted, antiqued to give her an aged look, and has
several layers of acrylic sealer applied over the paint for protection. Sidonia
Faith's clothing replicates the style of clothing worn by ladies in the mid-nineteenth
century. Sidonia's green floral cotton dress has a completely lined full skirt and
leg-o'-mutton sleeves. Her muslin slip and pantaloons have rows of pintucking and
are trimmed with matching lace. All clothing is non-removable. She is wearing hand-painted
black high-heeled boots. Her hair is styled in a braided bun at the back of her head
