"Violet Jane" is an 19-inch folk
art style doll. Her body is made of unbleached muslin with soft-sculpted hands and feet.
Her head, arms and legs have been coated with many layers of gesso that has been sanded
between each layer in order to achieve a smooth finish. She is hand-painted, antiqued to
give her an aged look, and has several layers of acrylic sealer applied over the paint for
protection. Violet's lavender polka-dot cotton dress has been tea-dyed to give an aged
appearance. Her muslin slip and pantaloons have rows of pintucking. Her dress and
pantaloons are trimmed with off-white lace. All clothing is non-removable. Violet Jane has
been signed and dated by the artist. She would make a great addition to your doll
